The GOOD RETURN underway
Take a cruise with us
aboard the GOOD
RETURN on
picturesque Penobscot
Bay.  Departing from
Thompson Wharf,
Belfast, Maine.
Private charters are
welcome.
The GOOD RETURN's name is derived from a
historical origin, a name of a vessel that is part
of my ancestry.  My fourth great-grandfather
was a whaling ship captain from New Bedford,
MA.  His name was Job Terry and is mentioned
in the book TWO YEARS BEFORE THE MAST,
He was part-owner and Captain of a whaler
named GOOD RETURN.  Since currently there
are no other vessels documented in the US by
the name GOOD RETURN, I thought that this
name would be most appropriate for her.
Check out the New Bedford
Whaling Museum for more
information on New England's
whaling history
